Itinerary

Our tour offers a comprehensive experience of the stunning Grampians National Park, starting from Melbourne.

Visitors can explore an ancient landscape featuring rugged mountain formations and stunning sandstone ridges. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, participants can better appreciate the region’s countryside and historical significance.

Heading west from the city, you will travel 250 km through countryside rich in Victorian Goldrush history. Stop in one of the charming towns to learn about mining history and enjoy a morning tea or coffee.
After reaching the scenic Grampians National Park, visitors can go to Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Here, they can explore and learn about the creation stories that form the heritage of this diverse landscape. The cultural centre also offers opportunities to observe Wildlife like wallabies, emus, and echidnas. This experience will provide a deeper understanding of the importance of Gariwerd to the Indigenous community.
Reeds Lookout offers panoramic views of Lake Wartook, the Victoria Valley, and the Mount Difficult Range. We then hike along a shady path through gum trees and fascinating rock formations to The Balconies, where you can see the famous ‘Jaws of Death’ and enjoy majestic views and scenery featured in the Japanese Animation’ Princess Mononoke’.
One of the most well-known waterfalls in Victoria Valley is visited by hiking down to the base and back, marvelling at the significant amount of water and feeling the refreshing air spray. The hike consists of approximately 250 steps to the base and back. Alternatively, there is also the option of a leisurely walk out over the top of the falls for those who prefer a more straightforward route. If Mackenzie Falls is closed, visitors can take a peaceful hike to Silverband Falls as an alternative.

The Boroka lookout provides a scenic view of the beautiful surroundings. Depending on the weather and visibility, we may visit Lake Bellfield and walk along the dam, experiencing the grandeur of the surrounding mountain ranges.

A noteworthy fact is that residents of Halls Gap do not require lawnmowers, as kangaroos roam freely and graze on the grass in the evening. You will probably observe various Australian birds, such as kookaburras and emus. Still, it is guaranteed that you will not depart from the Grampians without encountering a kangaroo. Visitors frequently have the opportunity to observe echidnas and wallabies. It is important to note that feeding wild animals is prohibited but ensure your camera battery is fully charged.
At some point, we will need to return to the city. The 3-hour trip from the Grampians includes a break in which you can buy dinner (at your own cost). After a day of exploration, take some time to unwind and contemplate. You will arrive in Melbourne around 8:30 pm and can be dropped off at your initial pickup spot or utilise public transportation connections.
